Evaluation

Don't Lose Aggro launched into Early Access on April 15, 2026, developed solo by Oren Koren. The developer has maintained a consistent and transparent communication cadence since launch, publishing monthly devlogs and regular patch notes. Two weeks after launch, a detailed three-phase development roadmap was posted on April 29, 2026: Phase 1 targets an Endless Mode, a Summoner companion, and new shields/abilities/enemies; Phase 2 covers increased party size, a shield progression system, consumables, and more; Phase 3 adds loot and gear, player customization, companion progression, and leaderboards. The May 15, 2026 devlog showed active design work on the Summoner companion and new enemy races — concrete early-stage progress toward Phase 1. The June 21, 2026 devlog confirmed work on increased party size (now expanding from 2 to 3 companions), a new dungeon, new shields, and new abilities — spanning both Phase 1 and Phase 2 roadmap items simultaneously. Most recently, on July 23, 2026, the developer announced that the first major Early Access update is ready for public playtesting beginning August 22, 2026, and listed a substantial set of new features: increased party size, a new Summoner companion, a target-marking system, a new tutorial, new shields, a new ability (Blood Strike), new status effects, and a UI overhaul. This update alone delivers on multiple roadmap commitments across Phase 1 and Phase 2. The developer is actively building toward a 1.0 release, with Phases 2 and 3 still entirely ahead, including major systems like loot/gear and player customization that have not yet entered development publicly.

About this game

Protect your team by forcing enemies to attack you in this single-player action roguelite inspired by MMO raids. Create unique builds, unlock powerful talents and master the art of tanking to command the chaos!

Damage your enemies to hold their attention! Or force them to attack you by running away!

Don't Lose Aggro lets you play any kind of tank you can think of, focusing on control, strategy and positioning.

You have the assignment of protecting your group from harm!

Companions, while alive, provide powerful abilities that can be upgraded, which are key for a successful run.

Don't Lose Aggro allows you to choose whether to protect your companions or go full hard-core and sacrifice them!

Use your abilities to utilize the tank you aim to become. Charge can close a gap between you and the enemy but if you're the slower type, you can always pull them towards you!

Some abilities are aggressive and focus on damage, whilst others focus on protection and healing.

Upgrade your lasting tanking builds by spending talent points to suit your preferred playstyle. Play as a Dodger, Blocker, Kiter, or Taunter - each with distinct mechanics and upgrade paths.

Battle through the lava-surrounded Isle of Doom, survive the Cyclone Sands' sandstorms, and face the final challenge in "The Fallen City."

As you progress, you'll unlock new arenas and fight new enemies & bosses to prove your tanking skills!
