DON'T SCREAM

DON'T SCREAM launched into Early Access on October 27, 2023 and officially reached its 1.0 release on October 28, 2024, bringing with it vastly improved performance, new enemies, new forest locations, a relics system, and battery mechanics. The developer has continued actively building on the game since launch. Major Update #4, released September 19, 2025, introduced new symbols, scares, and locations alongside significant gameplay mechanic overhauls. Then on December 3, 2025, the developer shipped DON'T SCREAM TOGETHER — a substantial expansion adding online co-op for up to four players, new playable characters, a new Hunted mode, improved animations, and full controller support. The expansion received mixed initial reviews, which the developer addressed publicly on December 4, 2025, acknowledging the criticism and expressing continued commitment from their five-person team. Most recently, on May 6, 2026, the developer pushed another feature update with a significant microphone calibration overhaul, performance improvements, bug fixes, and a new bug tracking system. The development history shows consistent major updates at intervals of roughly 3–12 months, and the team has shown no indication of winding down. No announcement of a final update or conclusion of support has been made.
