DORONKO WANKO launched as a free-to-play game on March 26, 2024. After its initial release, the developer announced on June 20, 2025 that five new playable dog breeds would be coming as paid DLC on July 23, 2025 — Toy Poodle, Shiba Inu, Bulldog, Jack Russell Terrier, and Corgi. All five were released as individual DLC packs on July 23, 2025, alongside a bug-fix patch and a bundle offer. The July 23, 2025 update also coincided with the launch of a Nintendo Switch version of the game. The developer noted in the announcement that this new content was made possible by player support, framing it as a gratitude-driven addition rather than the start of an ongoing content roadmap. No further content has been announced since the July 2025 release, and no unreleased DLC exists on the store. With all five DLC packs now shipped, no outstanding commitments remain, and there is no established pattern of further updates to suggest more is coming.
