Dots eXtreme launched on September 13, 2016 and received active updates in its early life, including additional puzzle packs (60 levels with 8x8 boards in October 2016, another 60 levels with 9x9 boards shortly after), new skins, music, sound effects, and localization support. The developer followed up with engine and bug-fix patches in October 2017 and December 2018.
