Double Dragon Revive launched on October 22, 2025 as a complete belt-scroll action game. The only DLC on record is the Deluxe Edition Upgrade Kit, which released October 23, 2025 and bundles cosmetic and digital bonus content (artwork, soundtrack, alternate character colors) — it is not a gameplay expansion. Post-launch, the developer shipped a control/bug fix patch on December 17, 2025 (Update 1.3.0) and posted a developer retrospective on February 3, 2026 discussing character design decisions made during development. On July 6, 2026, a more substantial update (Ver.1.5.0) arrived, adding a new Guard Counter mechanic, a Tutorial mode, and a wide range of balance adjustments based on player feedback. This update also included a notable notice: development responsibilities from Ver.1.5.0 onward have been transferred from original developer YUKE'S to a different studio, Unite Plus Co., Ltd. A sale announcement on July 17, 2026 promoted the Ver.1.5.0 improvements but made no mention of upcoming content or expansions. The Ver.1.5.0 update is a meaningful quality-of-life and balance improvement, but it does not introduce new stages, characters, or story content.
