DRACOMATON

Dracomaton launched on August 1, 2023 and received a healthy run of post-launch content from its student-developer team at Gun Jumpers. Major updates included The Corrosion Update (January 27, 2024), The Whispers Update (August 1, 2024), and The Modifiers Update (August 1, 2025), followed by the Goliath Update (September 29, 2025) — the game's fourth and final major content release. The September 29, 2025 Goliath Update post contains an explicit, unambiguous statement from the team that development is now complete. Team member Annie wrote: "This game will officially be going Dormant after this update drops. Little fixes may drop here and there but please don't hold your breath for anything major!" The post also states: "This'll be the last announcement about a new DRACOMATON update that we make for the foreseeable future." The developers acknowledged that most of the team had moved on to other projects before this final update, and the update itself was described as a gift to the community driven by an unexpected outpouring of player appreciation — not a sign of continuing development. The game is now content-complete. Minor maintenance patches may still appear, but the developer has clearly communicated that no further major content is planned.
