Dread Weight came out on July 29, 2024 as a self-contained horror visual novel. The store page lists its full set of unlockables as 12 endings, 80 Steam achievements and 164 pieces of artwork. Its only DLC, Creator's Cache, a set of sprites for people making videos, shipped the next day on July 30, 2024, and nothing else is listed as upcoming for the game. The developer's Dread Weight posts since then are sale announcements. The March 19, 2025 post ends with a general promise of fun updates in 2025 that does not name any Dread Weight content. The most recent developer post shown here, from April 30, 2025, is about bringing the original Cooking Companions to consoles. Dread Weight appears to be a finished game, and its last addition was the Creator's Cache pack on July 30, 2024.
