Droid Assault launched on January 9, 2013 and received a handful of patches in the months following release. The last developer communication specifically about this game was a minor bug fix patch on June 19, 2013. In June 2013, a developer post mentioned that an "RPG DLC" was in progress and expected within two months — but no such DLC ever materialized on the store, and no follow-up post ever referenced it again. Given that this promise is now well over a decade old with no further mention, it was either quietly abandoned or never shipped.
Subsequent Puppygames posts on this game's Steam page are cross-promotional announcements for other Puppygames titles (Basingstoke in 2018, Battledroid/Glitchangels in 2019–2020) rather than updates to Droid Assault itself. The studio appears to have moved on to other projects. The store description contains no reference to planned content, DLC, or future updates, and there are no unreleased DLC listings. The game launched as a complete 50-level arcade experience and has received no meaningful updates since mid-2013.
