Evaluation
Drugs and Crime Idle is a free-to-play offline idle game that has been actively developed since its December 2020 launch. The developer shipped a complete game remake (Version 4) in October 2022, followed by several feature patches through early 2024. The most recent developer communication was Update 4.11 on May 16, 2024, which improved gambling odds — a quality-of-life improvement rather than a signal of major content ahead.
Looking at the full post-launch history, the major content releases were: the V0.007 UI/combat overhaul (December 2020), the 1.0 complete remake (February 2021), the Money Laundering DLC launch (May 2021), and the Version 4 ground-up remake (October 2022). After Version 4, updates shifted to smaller feature patches (gang member additions, auto chest opening, prestige generator, gambling odds) with no new major content drops.
Importantly, in October 2023, the developer announced a second idle game ("Operation Food to Gold") had launched in Early Access, and acknowledged this was the reason Drugs and Crime Idle was not being updated more frequently. The developer stated they would "try to update Drugs and Crime Idle as much as possible as well," but framed the primary focus as the new title. The Version 4 launch post itself noted "I feel that the game is now finished, but might add some more stuff, if I feel that something will fit well."
Both DLCs are released. No unreleased DLC exists on the store. No roadmap or announcement of upcoming content has been made. The developer's attention has shifted to a new project. The last developer communication was on May 16, 2024 — over 13 months before today's date of June 23, 2026. The game's established post-Version 4 update cadence was roughly every 3–6 months, meaning over two years of silence well exceeds that window. The combination of the developer's own "feels finished" statement, the pivot to a new game, and the extended silence since May 2024 all point to the game being complete.
Evidence
Developer announced their second idle game 'Operation Food to Gold' launched in Early Access, explaining this was why Drugs and Crime Idle was not being updated more frequently. Developer said they would 'try to update Drugs and Crime Idle as much as possible as well,' signaling reduced focus on the game.
Developer launched Version 4, a complete ground-up remake, and wrote 'I feel that the game is now finished, but might add some more stuff, if I feel that something will fit well.' This is the closest to a completion statement the developer has made.

About this game
Drugs and Crime Idle is a free, offline, idle game about selling drugs and building your criminal empire.
Produce drugs and upgrade your dealers. Attack with your thugs and generate CrimeCoin, which you can spend on opening 6 different chests, with the chance to add 1 out 15 items to your collection.
8 Dealers, 8 Buildings, 6 Upgrades, 8 Money laundering options, 6 Crates, 15 Items and more.
The game has 24 hours offline progression, which is only half as efficient.
An optional ActionPoin(AP) system, which promotes active play.
The game is free and has no microtransactions. The only real money related thing are the DLCs. Those give some early game advantages. All content is available to free and DLC players.
All older versions of the game are available under the betas tab and will remain playable.
