Evaluation

Dungeon Antiqua launched on October 9, 2024 as a retro-style dungeon crawler. The developer has been consistently active since launch, shipping a stream of feature patches and bug fixes. Notably, a January 25, 2025 update added scenarios beyond the 7th basement floor — the last meaningful gameplay content addition to the base game. On January 7, 2026, the developer announced the release of Dungeon Antiqua 2, a full sequel with upgraded visuals, new jobs, a skill system, and expanded dungeons. Shortly after, on February 16, 2026, they released a bundle pairing both games together. The most recent post (March 23, 2026) is a minor bug fix. The sequel's release, combined with the bundle announcement, signals that the original Dungeon Antiqua is now a complete, finished product. The developer's attention has moved to the sequel. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no announced future content for the original game, and no roadmap suggesting further development. The only DLC ever released was the soundtrack (November 12, 2024), which is a supplementary item rather than gameplay content. The game launched as a self-contained experience and has been supported to a polished state.
