Evaluation

Dungeon Defenders: Going Rogue launched into Early Access on approximately March 29, 2022 and formally released (1.0) on January 10, 2025. During its Early Access period, Chromatic Games shipped two major content updates: The Warden hero (May 17, 2022) and the Series EV-GR hero (September 2, 2022), followed by a significant feature update adding Loadouts and Map Choice on March 16, 2023. That March 2023 post is the last official communication from the developer — now over three years ago. Notably, in September 2022, the developer openly stated that the majority of the team's focus had shifted to Dungeon Defenders: Awakened and DD2, and that DDGR updates would come more slowly going forward. The game then went largely quiet, with no public posts accompanying the eventual January 2025 full release. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no announced roadmap, and no developer statement confirming either the conclusion of development or any future content plans. Given the three-plus years of silence, the earlier developer acknowledgment of reduced priority, and the absence of any communication around the game's own 1.0 launch, it is unclear whether the game is considered complete or whether Chromatic Games intends to return to it. The situation is ambiguous enough that players should be cautious about the game's ongoing support status.
