About this game

This game takes 72 real gameplay hours to beat.

Not 72 "in-game" hours...

72 actual hours with the game running.

You came to the castle carrying your king’s ultimatum: surrender now or face annihilation.

They laughed.

Then threw you into the pit.

Your king is still coming... in three days.

Dungeon Prisoner Simulator is a first-person endurance game about waiting, surviving, and trying not to die before the castle falls.

Survive 72 real hours.

Drink from the buckets lowered into your cell. Sleep to recover your strength. Rattle your chains to keep rats away. Manage your hydration and energy. Endure sickness, darkness, and long stretches where absolutely nothing happens.

Time only advances while the game is running. You can quit and return later, but your sentence will be waiting for you.

There is no escape route to discover. No army of enemies to defeat. No hidden shortcut.

You just have to last three days. Can you survive?

Note from the Developer:

Yes, this game is absurd. That is entirely the point.

There are a lot of games lately built around increasingly mundane, hyper-specific activities, and Dungeon Prisoner Simulator is my tongue-in-cheek attempt to push that idea to an extreme.

You will occasionally need to act to stay alive: drink, sleep, scare off rats, and pay attention to your condition. But... much of the experience is intentionally spent waiting. That is the challenge.

The joke is the premise. The game itself is real, fully functional, and built for the kind of player who sees “72 actual gameplay hours” and thinks, “Alright. I can do that.”

If that sounds like you, your sentence awaits.
