Eden Survivors launched on April 2, 2025 as a free-to-play rogue-like action game with visual novel storytelling. The game features in-game currencies (Gems, Mech Credits), summoning pods, and a progression system typical of live service games. Since launch, the developer has maintained an active update cadence. A feature patch on April 4, 2025 added Steam Deck compatibility. A May 22, 2025 update recap announced upcoming time-limited events — including the Lunar Explore Event with its own event shop and currency — alongside a content collaboration with YouTuber Pyrocynical. That collaboration launched on May 24, 2025 with a limited-time code offer. On July 19, 2025, the developer shipped a major content update adding Chapters 31–35 and a new Bestiary system. Most recently, on September 2, 2025, a time-limited "Fireworld" map event ran for seven days with daily resetting rewards. The combination of rotating time-limited events, event-exclusive currencies and shops, a monetized summoning system, and a free-to-play model all point to a game designed to operate as an ongoing live service — one that is never "done" by design, but continuously receives new events, content drops, and seasonal experiences. No conclusion to development has been announced.
