E.E.R.I.E launched on June 12, 2021, and the developer (Ureasoft) actively posted updates in the weeks following launch — including feature patches and mod tool improvements. In July 2021, the developer announced a new campaign featuring Alice Margatroid, signaling plans for additional content. In May 2022, Ureasoft announced that a full sequel, E.E.R.I.E 2, was in development and would be released on Steam around July 2022, with all existing E.E.R.I.E owners receiving it for free. The sequel launched on November 5, 2022, and existing owners were automatically granted access. The release of E.E.R.I.E 2 as a free successor to E.E.R.I.E owners effectively marks the end of the original game's content arc. No further updates, patches, announcements, or developer communications have been made for the original E.E.R.I.E since November 5, 2022 — a period spanning to at least June 2026. The developer's focus clearly shifted entirely to E.E.R.I.E 2. The original game appears to be a complete, finished product, with its development concluded upon the sequel's release.
