Egg Surprise

Egg Surprise launched on June 20, 2024 as a free-to-play penguin-themed clicker/idle game. It received active post-launch development including three DLC packs, a major engine overhaul (Egg Surprise 2.0 on March 27, 2025), and various feature and balance updates throughout its run. On September 28, 2025, the developer formally announced the end of the game's server-side support, publishing a detailed shutdown timeline tied to the launch of a successor game called World of Eggs (a separate Steam title). The final step of that process — converting all remaining player items into in-game currency — was scheduled for the weekend of October 25–26, 2025. A post on October 22, 2025 confirmed this conversion would proceed as planned, and stated that Egg Surprise would then "switch to offline mode and will no longer require an internet connection." The game remains available for purchase on Steam but now operates in a permanent offline state. No server features, crafting, or trading remain active. All three DLC packs were released prior to shutdown. The most recent news post, dated July 27, 2026, addresses only the restoration of Steam achievements for players who collect them — a minor maintenance action consistent with the game running in its final offline state, not new content development. Development of Egg Surprise as a live, supported product concluded with the item conversion process in late October 2025.
