Element-174 - Part 1 is a complete, released visual novel that launched on January 3, 2022. The game was always described as the first half of a larger story, and the long-awaited sequel — Element-174 - Part 2 — shipped on April 17, 2026 as a separate DLC purchase.
The store description for Part 1 explicitly notes that Part 2 was in development, and the developer (Knotty Games) provided regular public updates on Part 2's progress throughout 2024 and 2025, ultimately delivering it on schedule on April 17, 2026.
However, the story does not end with Part 2. A developer update from May 2024 announced that the full story had been divided into three parts rather than two, with "Element-174 - Part 3" planned to cover the game's final week. This was reaffirmed in the August 2025 developer update, which described Part 3 as focusing on the player's chosen primary love interest with secondary characters still present. There has been no announcement that Part 3 has been cancelled or that the series is complete — to the contrary, it remains a stated future deliverable. As of June 25, 2026, no store page or release date for Part 3 has been publicly announced, but the developer's track record of delivering Part 2 gives reasonable confidence that work on Part 3 is likely ongoing.
