Evaluation
Ellipsis launched on January 25, 2017 as a fully finished product with 150+ hand-crafted levels across 8 worlds, a level editor with Steam Workshop support, and trading cards. All updates in the news history were pre-launch patches building toward that release date, with the launch itself (Update 9) being the final content milestone. There has been only one post-launch content signal of note: in April and June 2021, Salmi Games announced a completely separate new game — a VR title called Sweet Surrender — and used the Ellipsis store page to cross-promote it. This confirms the studio is still active, but it also confirms that Ellipsis itself is not receiving new content; the developer's attention moved on to a new project. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no roadmaps, and no post-launch update pattern for Ellipsis. The game shipped as a complete, finished product and has remained so since its January 25, 2017 release.
