Enchanted Portals launched on September 5, 2023 as a complete co-op 2D platformer. In the weeks following launch, the developer shipped several patches addressing player feedback — tweaking the spell system, adding sound effects, and introducing a character selection option.
After a quieter period, the developer returned with a significant update on November 5, 2025, introducing two new game modes (Book Mode with new bosses and a Boss-Only Mode), a reworked Insane difficulty with progress saving, and various pacing and co-op improvements. This update represents the most recent developer communication of any kind.
Since that November 2025 update, no further content has been announced or hinted at.
