Endless Furry Killer 2020 launched on September 23, 2020 as a small indie arcade shooter and has continued receiving updates well beyond its initial release. In April 2021, the developer announced they were building an entirely new game to replace this one due to underlying technical limitations — however, rather than abandoning this game, they continued shipping updates to it throughout subsequent years. The two confirmed major content additions are a new boss enemy (the "Nebraskan Governor"), added on April 5, 2022, and grenades added on November 22, 2025. Additional feature patches arrived in November 2021, May 2022, and July 2025 (Steam Inventory items), plus a bug fix in February 2024. The last developer communication of any kind was on November 22, 2025, when two updates shipped simultaneously. The gap between the two major content releases spans approximately three and a half years (April 2022 to November 2025), and as of today (October 8, 2026) it has been approximately ten and a half months since the last developer communication. Given the highly irregular and wide-spaced update pattern — with major content arriving roughly every few years — the current silence does not clearly exceed the established window.
