Entertainment Simulator launched on March 5, 2026 and has been actively developed by a solo developer since then. In the five months since launch, the game has received at least 8 major content updates and numerous feature patches. On March 12, 2026, shortly after launch, the developer published a public roadmap outlining several planned features: a branch station (sub-channel) system, Steam Workshop mod support, an expanded drama story library, more variety show segments, and a documentary module. The branch station system was delivered as a major update just two days later on March 14, 2026. On April 23, 2026, the developer confirmed that Steam Workshop support is still in development — noting that as a solo developer working in their spare time, progress is slower than ideal, but the game's core gameplay is largely feature-complete with Workshop integration and further polish still to come. On June 28, 2026, the developer explicitly posted a status update reassuring players they haven't abandoned the project ("没有跑路哈"), confirming they had been busy for two months but are now investing more effort into Workshop development, targeting a July–August 2026 release. The most recent update on July 26, 2026 shipped an achievement system (30 achievements) and explicitly stated that rich custom editing content and Steam Workshop support are expected to go live "next month" (August 2026). This confirms the developer is still active and delivering on the roadmap, with Workshop support remaining the key outstanding commitment.
