Everlasting Summer

Everlasting Summer is a free-to-play visual novel that launched on November 19, 2014. Shortly after launch, Soviet Games released one piece of paid DLC — "One Pioneer's Story" (the Zhenya route) — on December 30, 2014, which was bundled directly into the main game. That appears to be the only narrative content addition the game has ever received. Since then, developer activity has been limited to tooling and localization work: a French translation shipped in September 2021, a Turkish translation in March 2025, and multiple updates to the Steam Workshop mod uploader tool (most recently in May 2026). A Ren'Py 8 beta branch was opened in January 2025 for modder compatibility testing. None of these constitute new story or gameplay content for the base game. It's worth noting that two news posts announce other Soviet Games projects — "Love, Money, Rock'n'Roll" (released August 2022) and its own DLC "Summer '94" (February 2025) — but these are separate games on the Steam store, not additions to Everlasting Summer itself. There is no announced or unreleased DLC for Everlasting Summer, no developer roadmap promising future content, and no sustained cadence of post-launch content updates. The game launched as a complete visual novel experience and received one additional story route shortly after release. Ongoing developer engagement has been focused exclusively on technical maintenance and community modding support. The game's content has been complete since December 30, 2014.
