EVERSLAUGHT entered Steam Early Access on July 31, 2021 as a VR action RPG. The developer, MobX GmbH, shipped one major content update in December 2021 (Major Update #1), followed by several feature patches and bug fixes through early 2022. In August 2022, the studio announced that it had pivoted much of its attention to a separate title, EVERSLAUGHT Invasion for Meta Quest 2, developed in partnership with Fast Travel Games and Meta. This caused a prolonged silence on the PC VR version, which the developer acknowledged openly. On July 21, 2023, MobX returned with Patch 0.3.3 — dubbed "Back from the Dead" — apologizing for the hiatus, shipping a meaningful update, and promising more regular updates going forward. That post is the last official communication from the developer as of June 23, 2026, nearly three years later. The game remains in Early Access with no announced 1.0 release date or roadmap. While the developer's July 2023 post expressed clear intent to continue development, the subsequent silence — especially given the studio's history of extended hiatuses — makes it genuinely unclear whether active development is ongoing.
