Evolution Board Game launched on February 12, 2019 and received a steady stream of expansions and content updates over the following years. The Climate Expansion arrived on July 14, 2021, followed by three Promo Packs and Stained Glass Cards on March 15, 2023, and the Alone and Unafraid Promo Pack on August 30, 2023 — which the developer explicitly described as "the final Trait Pack in Evolution." The Flight Expansion then shipped on February 12, 2024, rounding out the game's paid content lineup. All six DLC items in the store are released with no unreleased entries. The developer's focus has clearly shifted to Nature, a successor game described as "reimagining" Evolution. Nature launched on Steam on November 5, 2025, and an October 2024 announcement stated the studio has "a 10-year plan for Nature with a massive amount of content." This signals that the developer's future content investment is directed at Nature rather than Evolution. Since the Flight Expansion in February 2024, no new content has been announced or released for Evolution. The game continues to receive occasional bug-fix patches — most recently on April 10, 2026 — indicating the developer is still maintaining it, but no further expansions or major updates have been signaled. With all DLC shipped, the "final Trait Pack" explicitly called out as such, and the studio's attention on its successor title, Evolution's content development is complete.
