FaceRig

FaceRig has been retired and is no longer available for purchase on Steam. The developer, Holotech Studios, announced on December 22, 2021 that they would stop selling new FaceRig licenses in 2022, holding a final "last sale" before permanently removing it from storefronts. The store page now confirms the retirement, describing FaceRig in the past tense ("was a program"). No purchase options remain available. The developer had been signaling this transition for some time. As far back as September 2020, they announced Animaze as FaceRig's official successor and stated that FaceRig would receive no further feature or content updates — the version available at that point was described as its final form. Support was extended through December 31, 2021 as a courtesy to existing owners, after which no further updates or patches were promised. All 10 DLC packs were released prior to the retirement, and all existing owners retain permanent access to the software in their Steam libraries. Development has conclusively ended, and the product has been delisted from sale.
