FAR: Changing Tides launched on March 1, 2022 as a complete, self-contained narrative adventure — a companion title to FAR: Lone Sails. Its only DLC is a soundtrack released on the same day as the game itself. After launch, the developer shipped one feature patch (v1.2.0 on May 11, 2022) to address player feedback on controls and polish, and one subsequent security patch. No expansions, story DLC, or additional game content have ever been announced or released.
Okomotive's post-launch communications have focused entirely on new projects: Herdling was announced in August 2024 and released in 2025, and a new game called PinKeep was announced in December 2025 with a demo launched in January 2026. In the PinKeep announcement, Okomotive explicitly noted that "the rest of our team is working hard on new concepts, prototypes and drafts for our next emotional journey" — language that looks forward to future games, not back to FAR: Changing Tides. There is no indication the studio intends to return to this title with new content.
FAR: Changing Tides fits the pattern of Okomotive's previous game, FAR: Lone Sails, which also shipped as a complete, standalone experience. The game is finished and its content is complete as of the final patch in May 2022.
