Fear the Timeloop - Prologue

Fear the Timeloop - Prologue is a free standalone preview offering the first hour of a larger game in development. It launched on June 20, 2025, and the full game (Fear The Timeloop, App ID 2918090) is separately available to wishlist on Steam. After launch, the developer shipped a dense series of updates throughout late June 2025 — seven patches in roughly two weeks — adding features like hard mode, new difficulty options, language support, performance improvements, and quality-of-life fixes. On July 5, 2025, the developer posted an update titled "Thoughts on the Future" [NEWS-1], which is the most important communication here. In it, they stated that while they will continue improving the prologue, their primary focus is now on the full game. They published a detailed list of planned changes for the full release, including improved zombie and enemy AI, melee weapons, more enemy variety, additional time loop mechanics, and numerous animation and gameplay improvements. This confirms the prologue is an intentionally scoped, complete product as it stands, while the full game remains under active development with a specific public feature roadmap. The last developer communication was on July 5, 2025, and no further posts have appeared since. However, the July 5, 2025 post itself explicitly communicated ongoing development work on the full game, so the absence of subsequent posts does not raise concerns about the status of that work at this stage.
