Final Soccer VR launched on November 17, 2016 as a VR soccer title. In its early period, the developer was quite active — shipping multiple feature updates through 2016 and 2017, including Oculus Touch support, a big December 2016 update, a new Striker mode, multiplayer improvements, and full-body simulation. A March 2017 post mentioned three planned major updates (Shooter Mode, Multiplayer, and Freestyle Mode), and by June 2017, the first two had shipped. There is no record of Freestyle Mode ever being delivered, but given how much time has passed, it appears this planned feature was quietly dropped rather than being an active outstanding commitment.
After mid-2017, developer activity dropped off dramatically. The only subsequent communications were a December 2022 multiplayer fix and a November 7, 2023 bug fix for shooter mode. No new features, expansions, or content have been announced or shipped since 2017. The store description contains no promises of future content, there are no unreleased DLC items, and the developer has made no statements about ongoing or planned development. The most recent developer activity of any kind was a maintenance patch on November 7, 2023, which is over two and a half years before today's date.
The overall picture is of a game that received its meaningful content development through 2017 and has since been in maintenance mode. With no outstanding commitments, no announced future content, and a long period of silence beyond occasional bug fixes, the game is best understood as a complete, finished product.
