Find or Be Found launched on June 24, 2025. Since then, the game received two major content updates: the Storm Update on February 24, 2026 (adding weather events and a new slime monster), and the Endless Mode update on March 19, 2026 (adding an infinite scaling mode beyond the main game's debt progression). Critically, in that same March 19, 2026 post, the developer explicitly stated: "Find or be Found will be more on the ice henceforth. We will fix critical bugs, maybe small things and continue to have good sales (!!!) but otherwise, we will try to focus on our next game!" This is a clear, direct statement from the developer that major content development for this game is winding down in favor of their next project, "I Unplugged the Kids." The developer framed this as a transparency notice to the community. The subsequent communications support this: a July 12, 2026 post announced a summer sale and a team break through September, with no mention of future content for Find or Be Found. The June 25, 2026 anniversary post celebrated the game's first year and pointed toward their next game as the studio's primary focus going forward. The game is effectively complete as of the March 19, 2026 Endless Mode update — the last major content delivery, after which the developer announced a shift to maintenance-only support.

About this game

Summary

Find or Be Found is an asymmetric co-op horror game. Go on heists as a pair of burglars looking for the most valuable items in haunted houses. Locate the specific item to earn money and progress, but have a look out during your search because you're not alone.

Play as either the hacker or the robber. Only the hacker knows what to steal and where to find it, and only the robber inside the house can grab it. Communication is key.

Hacker

As the hacker, you are the only one who knows what the item looks like, where it is, and when the monster is nearby. You must guide the robber using maps and cameras.
