Firefighter Connor launched on April 30, 2024 as a complete linear visual novel. Shortly after launch, on July 19, 2024, the solo developer announced a free update targeting September 2024 that would roughly double the game's text volume, add a new extra chapter, and include additional CGs and music. That September 2024 target was missed. On May 31, 2025, the developer posted again to apologize for the delay and released a small preview update — one new chapter preview, a few CG images, and one new music track — while confirming that the full expansion is still being worked on. As of that post, all new script writing was complete and CG/music production had begun, but the bulk of the promised content had not yet shipped. There have been no developer communications since May 31, 2025. The developer has openly acknowledged that solo development frequently causes delays and that multiple missed targets have already occurred. The promised major expansion — the one that would double the game's content — remains undelivered with no new timeline given, which creates genuine uncertainty about when or whether it will arrive.
