Evaluation

Fleshcult launched on October 22, 2020 as a revival of a 2014 web game. Since launch, the developer — a solo developer operating under the Oneirolith label — has shipped five major content updates: Steam Workshop support (April 30, 2021), The Pit introduction in v1.16 (April 9, 2022), a major audio and content overhaul in v1.30 (June 8, 2023), a substantial content drop in v1.35 (April 12, 2024), and a Halloween content update in v1.37 (October 23, 2024). This establishes a sustained cadence of major updates roughly every 6-18 months across nearly four years of post-launch development. A key structural element is the developer's Patreon, announced in June 2021, which funds a continuous stream of new content — new tomes, characters, and plot arcs — that is then delivered to the Steam base game on a rolling basis. In January 2022 the developer explicitly stated: "new content is on the way" and described a roughly quarterly release cadence for base game updates. No statement has ever been made indicating development is complete or that the content pipeline is closing. As of today, October 8, 2026, the most recent major update shipped on October 23, 2024 — approximately 11.5 months ago. Given the historical cadence of roughly 6-18 months between major releases, this falls within the upper range of that window. The developer has not announced the end of development, and the Patreon funding structure suggests ongoing content production continues in the background. A new update would not be unexpected, particularly around Halloween given the precedent set in 2024.

About this game

Fleshcult is a text-based RPG where you play a sex demon: an incubus or succubus. You lurk on the margins of an unsuspecting city, seducing mortals into your underground lair. You're a shape-shifter, transforming your body and the bodies of your minions.

  • You pick the kinks: As you play the game, you opt into the fetishes that you want to see.
  • Play whichever gender you want, and play with the genders you want (including transgender characters).
  • Meet goths, pornstars, house-husbands, nurses, bodybuilders, and more. Find temptations that they cannot resist.
  • It's text based, but it's not a visual novel. You're continually involved, making decisions.
  • Corrupt your body with over 65 different transformations, body mods, and clothing items.
  • Build your lair. Snare intruders in a variety of traps.

Fleshcult for Steam is a revival of the 2014 web game with new content, including a new fourth location with an extended plot, three new transformation tomes, and four new characters. Includes Steam Workshop modding support!
