Evaluation
Flight of Nova is an Early Access spacecraft simulation game that has been in continuous, active development since its launch on May 31, 2022. Aerovery Lab has shipped five named major content updates post-launch: the October 2022 Update (new ship, new orbital maps, training missions), the Rogue Mode release on July 28, 2023 (entirely new procedurally generated game mode), the AUKEN and GABA update on December 29, 2023 (two massive new orbital stations, new surface region), the NORVIG update on September 15, 2024 (new orbital station, new mission types, dust storms), and most recently the Telios and Ashir Moons update on August 15, 2026 — which added two entirely new moons to explore, a new terrain rendering system, two new orbital stations, and expanded the star system's planetary architecture. This establishes a consistent cadence of major content roughly every 6–12 months. Between major updates, the developer has also shipped feature patches, most notably the June 2025 update adding new mission types and gameplay systems. The game's most recent developer communication was on August 15, 2026, just three days before today's assessment. No statement has been made about an impending 1.0 release or the end of development, and the pace of updates strongly suggests the game remains in active expansion.
Evidence
Major update shipping two new moons (Telios and Ashir) around planet N31, a new terrain rendering system, two new orbital stations, expanded star system to support 9 planets, and numerous gameplay additions including new mission types, sound tracks, and save features.
NORVIG major update adding a new orbital station, new mission types, dust storms, turbulence, and pitch trim controls.

About this game
Flight of Nova is a simulator based on newtonian mechanics in which you control spacecraft in the Noren star system. You will fly multiple types of spacecraft doing transport and search missions in an environment with realistic aerodynamics and orbital physics.
Flight Of Nova features two gameplay modes:
1. Map Operations: contain series of missions taken from specific region or orbital station.
2. Rogue Mode: global missions based on messages we receive on the cockpit monitor FMS.
Key Features:
* Track IR support
* HOTAS support
* Realistic gravitation and orbital physics
* Atmospheric density inspired by earth data
* Aerodynamic drag corresponding to vessel shape
* Drag / air friction energy calculations
* Real-time accurate orbital data
* Orbital stations and docking system
* Planet surface outposts
* Real-time control over spacecraft
* Full-scale body diameter 12’700 km
* Search and transport missions
* Quick flight challenges
