Evaluation

Foodslingers launched into Early Access on June 20, 2025 and hit its 1.0 release on March 18, 2026. At 1.0 launch, the developer (posting as Tinfoil) explicitly stated that a period of stability updates would follow, along with "a few more updates" — with expanding Endless Mode named as the first priority. The developer has followed through on that commitment. On May 2, 2026, a Spring Fling polish update shipped, and in that post the developer explicitly previewed "a bigger free content update coming in June." On June 13, 2026, the Endless Cooking update (version 1.2) landed — the game's largest post-launch release, introducing a fully overhauled Endless Mode, the new Ascension System, ten new in-run gameplay choices, four new perks, and significant UI and visual upgrades. This establishes a clear pattern of substantial content additions after the 1.0 release. The most recent developer communication was on June 13, 2026, and the game has been receiving major updates roughly every 2–3 months since launch. No developer statement has indicated that content development is complete or winding down.

Endless Cooking update (v1.2) shipped — the developer's largest post-launch release, overhauling Endless Mode with the new Ascension System, ten new gameplay choices, four new perks, new ingredient models, and major UI changes. This fulfilled the June content promise from the May post.

DEVELOPER NOTES:

Hello, if you read down this far, thank you. Foodslingers is first and foremost a game that is meant to be fun and a singular experience. Whether that be messing around or completing all the levels and achievements. I've always wanted to create experiences that can create core memories between friends. That being said, being involved in the community will in fact have an effect in the game's design and experience. Perhaps some will have their names and cosmetics engraved into the game. I'm here to build that experience with the players.
