For the People launched on August 13, 2020 as a complete political management sim/visual novel. In the weeks immediately following launch, the developer shipped two patches (August 19 and September 7, 2020) addressing balance, bug fixes, and some content refinements. After September 7, 2020, there have been no further updates, patches, announcements, or developer communications specific to this game. No DLC was ever announced or listed. The post-launch activity consists entirely of polish patches immediately after release — a standard pattern for a game that shipped as a finished product. The news feed contains posts from 2024 and 2025, but these are publisher (101XP) promotions for entirely different games (Lords of Ravage and The Life and Suffering of Prince Jerian), not updates to For the People. The developer has never announced any additional content plans, and the game has been silent since September 7, 2020.

Congratulations, dear comrade! From now on, you are the head of a small but important industrial center bearing the proud name of Iron-1. Your task will be to manage and rebuild it amidst the formation of a new totalitarian regime, currently faced with the consequences of the recent revolution, such as a deepening social crisis and an utter economic deficit.
Yet we remain confident that it is young specialists such as yourself, who will lead this county to a stable and prosperous future.
