Force Reboot

Force Reboot entered Steam Early Access on August 25, 2022 as a fast-paced FPS roguelite developed by a solo developer (ln404). The game has received a steady stream of updates over the years, including four major content drops: a new weapon (January 2023), Stage Three (April 2023), a Multi-Pistol weapon and new enemy (January 2024), and the Spy Gun (August 2024). On August 27, 2024 — the game's second anniversary — the developer made an important announcement: Year 3 of Early Access would be the last year of development before a full 1.0 release. They outlined several goals for that final year: at least one new zone, two new weapons, controller support, multiple language options, and naming the main character. Since then, the developer published a quality-of-life update on February 11, 2025 and a small music patch on August 14, 2025. The August 2025 patch falls right around the anniversary milestone the developer had set — but it did not announce a 1.0 launch or confirm that the planned content goals had been completed. As of June 22, 2026, there has been no developer communication since August 14, 2025, which is more than 10 months ago. The promised 1.0 release window has passed without any public announcement of completion or launch. The game remains in Early Access, the announced content has not been confirmed as shipped, and the developer has gone silent beyond their historical communication pattern. Anyone waiting for the completed version of Force Reboot should be aware that the 1.0 release has not materialized on schedule and there has been no explanation from the developer.
