Forgiveness: Escape Room launched on February 28, 2019 as a complete package — a series of 7 escape room adventures themed around the seven deadly sins. In the weeks following launch, the developer issued a couple of bug fix and quality-of-life patches (adding a hint system, fixing Linux issues, adding achievements), all of which wrapped up by March 30, 2019. The last developer communication specific to this game was that March 30, 2019 achievements update. A December 2020 post from the developer announced an entirely separate game (Luciform), confirming the studio moved on to new projects. There is no DLC listed, no roadmap, no announced future content for Forgiveness, and no ongoing update activity since early 2019. The game shipped as a finished product and has received no substantive development activity since its launch window.

Two levels of challenge: Normal and Extreme. The normal difficulty has subtle hints and there is no time limit, but if you want to experience what real punishment is, try to face the challenge by yourself on Extreme mode, with the clock ticking and only 30 minutes left to escape each room!
You wake up, in an unfamiliar room where the enigmatic Dr. Benjamin Smith has trapped you to test your worthiness to stand his judgment ‒ The man believes himself a god and wants to bring his own form of justice to the world.
