Forgotten Mines launched on July 23, 2024. After launch, the developer (Cannibal Goose) actively supported the game with bug-fix patches and then a substantial free content update — the Fur & Flames Update — on January 17, 2025. This update added two new dungeon paths (Beasts' Path and Elemental Caves), 12 new enemies, 8 bosses, 3 new playable races, and 68 new equipment pieces, arriving roughly 6 months after launch.
On March 6, 2025, the developer shipped a follow-up feature patch and stated they "can't wait to show you what we have planned for the next Major Update" — an explicit signal that further major content was in development. A graphic overhaul and bug-fix patch followed on June 24, 2025, the game's first anniversary.
That June 24, 2025 post is the last communication from the developer. As of October 1, 2026, over 15 months have passed with no news, patch notes, or any developer activity. The established cadence between major releases was approximately 6 months, meaning the silence has now stretched to more than double that window. The developer explicitly teased a next major update in March 2025 but has not delivered or commented on it since. This combination — an outstanding commitment to a future major update and an extended period of silence well beyond the historical cadence — raises genuine uncertainty about whether that promised content is still coming.

With limited turns and the threat posed by over 50 enemy types and bosses, you must learn to adapt to unpredictable situations in each journey through the vast mine network. Think smart, take risks, and develop strategies for the next challenging run.
