Franchise Hockey Manager 6

Franchise Hockey Manager 6 launched on October 11, 2019, covering the 2019-20 hockey season. Following launch, the developer shipped four feature-rich post-release updates between October 2019 and February 2020, adding significant gameplay systems and quality-of-life improvements alongside ongoing bug fixes and roster updates. On July 31, 2020, the developer published a note alongside a bonus update (version 6.9.86) explicitly explaining that, while they would not normally release an update this late in the year, the unusual circumstances of the COVID-19-affected 2019-20 NHL season warranted an exception. Crucially, that same post confirmed that development focus was already shifting to Franchise Hockey Manager 7, noting that "most of the development effort will begin to shift over to FHM 7" — and that FHM7 had already hit a major internal development milestone. A final hotfix (version 6.9.87) followed on August 3, 2020, to address a stability bug introduced by the bonus update. On December 3, 2020, the developer announced Franchise Hockey Manager 7, and it launched on December 16, 2020. This is consistent with Out of the Park Developments' annual release model, where each numbered entry in the series covers one hockey season and is succeeded by the next yearly edition. No further updates, DLC, or content announcements have been made for FHM6 after August 3, 2020. The game is complete as a standalone 2019-20 season product.
