Freebie is a small casual game that launched on June 16, 2016. After a November 2016 update that added leaderboards, controller support, and a color blind mode, the developer explicitly stated they doubted they would work more on the game and were moving on to other projects. In October 2018, the developer announced a remaster version, a Source Code DLC, and an Android port — but also clarified that once the remaster shipped, future focus would shift entirely to the mobile version, with only bug fixes planned for PC. The Android version launched on Google Play on November 22, 2018, representing the final major milestone in the game's development cycle. No further updates, announcements, or developer communications have appeared since November 2018. The one released DLC (the Color Blind Pack) shipped on November 8, 2016, and no unreleased DLC exists in the store listing. The announced Remaster and Source Code DLC from October 2018 appear to have either shipped quietly or were abandoned — but either way, no follow-up communications have been made, and the game has been dormant since late 2018.
