FREEDIVER: Triton Down launched on May 30, 2019 as a complete, self-contained VR adventure experience. Following launch, Archiact released one post-launch patch (Update 1.04 on June 18, 2019) addressing player feedback with quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes. There have been no further updates, no DLC, and no announcements of additional content for this game since mid-2019. The only news post from Archiact after that date (June 5, 2024) was an announcement about an entirely separate game — Journey to Foundation — with only a passing reference to FREEDIVER as context for the studio's history. The store description presents the game as a complete, standalone narrative experience with no mention of additional content. The game launched as a finished product and has received no post-launch content beyond early maintenance patches.

FREEDIVER: Triton Down is a fully interactive single-player adventure experience in VR. Ren Tanaka is a freediver, capable of swimming to incredible depths without the use of scuba gear. A close call on her last dive has kept her landlocked for months, but when her mentor Dr. Lindstrom, an eccentric and brilliant scientist, claims to have made a stunning discovery in an underwater cavern, Ren decides to return to the deep.
