Freight Hopper

Freight Hopper is a free-to-play, 10-level first-person parkour game that released on July 29, 2022. The developer shipped a significant update on May 7, 2023 (version 2.0.0) adding leaderboards, multiplayer, achievements, and a full graphics overhaul. At the end of that post, they announced that the next update (2.1) would bring additional levels and CPU performance improvements — but also noted that this is a hobby side project and that updates should not be expected soon. A small follow-up patch (v2.0.1) arrived on October 30, 2023 with minor fixes. That is the last known communication from the developer. As of June 22, 2026, the promised update 2.1 with additional levels has not shipped, and no developer communication has occurred since October 30, 2023 — a silence of more than two and a half years. The developer's own caveat that the project is a hobby with uncertain update timing makes this situation somewhat expected, but the announced content remains undelivered with no status update. The game is open source and still purchasable (free), but it's unclear whether the additional levels will ever arrive.
