FrostBound

FrostBound launched on November 27, 2025 as a fully featured roguelike deck-building tower defense game developed by a small team at Lyra Studio. Since launch, the developer has maintained a consistent and active update cadence. Three major content milestones have shipped post-launch: v1.0.5 on December 5, 2025 (new hero Jingwei plus 9 new cards and new events), v1.0.10 on February 5, 2026 (new hero Star Dream), and the v1.1 update on May 28, 2026 (new Hero Events system, new merchant mechanics, a new difficulty level, and the introduction of Steam Workshop support). This was followed by v1.1.1 on June 5, 2026 (balance and system updates plus ongoing mod editor development) and the full Workshop launch on July 3, 2026 (v1.1.2), which added 12 more Hero Events and officially opened the mod editor to all players. The July 3, 2026 Workshop launch post explicitly lists features still under active development within the editor itself — Event Editing, a Building Editor, and an Enemy Editor — signaling that the developer has more planned for the Workshop toolset. Alongside the Workshop launch, the developer announced a mod creator contest running from July 3 to August 10, 2026, further demonstrating active community engagement. The major updates have arrived roughly every 2–4 months since launch, with the most recent shipping on July 3, 2026 — approximately 7 weeks before today's date of August 19, 2026. This places the game well within the established update window. The developer has made no announcement of concluding content development.
