Gacha Capsule Shop Simulator - Akihabara entered Early Access on June 8, 2026 and has been receiving a continuous stream of updates ever since. The developer completed Phase 1 of their Early Access roadmap on August 6, 2026, delivering major new systems including storage expansions, maid promoters, a toolbelt, smarter customer AI, and new capsule packs. They immediately signaled Phase 2 was underway. Phase 2 has been progressing rapidly. On August 26, 2026, a substantial feature patch added an expanded cat system, a Finance App, and improved figurine management tools. On September 1, 2026, the developer launched the Gacha Capsule Mod Factory — a free, standalone mod-creation tool for players — initially in playtest. On September 11, 2026 (today), the developer shipped the Automation Update v3 (v0.8.46), which opened Steam Workshop to the public, added new worker automation tasks, an Auto Capsule Opener, additional storage expansions, and more. Critically, the September 11, 2026 post states: "With the release of Steam Workshop and the new automation features, we are reaching the end of Phase 2 of our Early Access Roadmap! and we going to release the rest of it next week!" This confirms Phase 2 is not yet fully complete, with additional content explicitly scheduled for the following week. The developer also indicates that Workshop and modding support "will continue to grow alongside the game." The game is actively in development according to its structured, multi-phase roadmap, with more content confirmed as imminent.
