Gangs of Sherwood

Gangs of Sherwood launched on November 30, 2023. The developer shipped a small batch of DLC on launch day — a soundtrack, digital artbook, and three cosmetic skin packs — all of which are released and accounted for. No unreleased DLC exists on the store. After launch, Appeal Studios released two patches: a day-one fix on November 30, 2023, and a more substantial quality-of-life update on January 8, 2024 that added control remapping, difficulty tweaks, and numerous bug fixes. That January 8, 2024 patch is the last recorded developer communication of any kind. There has been no developer post, patch, announcement, or roadmap since January 8, 2024 — over two and a half years of silence as of June 25, 2026. The game never established a pattern of post-launch major content drops; the single "major_content" entry in the news feed is the launch trailer itself. No expansions, free updates, or future content were ever announced. The developer has not communicated any plans for additional content, and the silence far exceeds any reasonable expectation of ongoing support. Gangs of Sherwood launched as a complete, self-contained game. The post-launch patches addressed day-one issues and quality-of-life concerns, and the game has received no further attention since January 2024. It can be considered a finished product as of the final patch date.
