Ghost College launched on May 28, 2021 as a free prologue, with a clear plan to sell subsequent chapters as paid DLC. The store description states the game will contain 6 chapters in total, with chapter content sold individually. The sole released DLC — Chapter 1 — shipped on August 27, 2021 [DLC-1], and received a content update on August 22, 2022 [NEWS-1] that added new plot material and optimizations. That August 22, 2022 post is the last recorded communication from the developer.
The store description, which has not been updated to reflect completion, still references unfinished content: additional story branches within Chapter 1 are described as "still under development," and chapters 2 through 6 remain entirely undelivered. The developer — working alone — committed to weekly updates until the official version was released, but that cadence stopped entirely after August 22, 2022. No announcement of project completion, cancellation, or hiatus has been made.
