Ghost Town Mine Ride & Shootin' Gallery launched on October 28, 2016 as a complete VR horror experience. In the months following launch, the developer shipped a series of updates: bug fixes and a Halloween post on October 29, 2016, Oculus Rift support on December 22, 2016, and a controller menu improvement on January 12, 2017. The last meaningful content addition was on January 28, 2017, when the developer released a bonus level called "Miniature Railway" along with a new Hardcore mode. That post also served as a thank-you to the community, with no mention of any future content plans. The developer's only forward-looking statement, from October 31, 2016, mentioned plans to bring "more VR experiences in the future" — referring to new projects rather than additional content for this game. No further posts have appeared since January 28, 2017, and there are no unreleased DLC entries or announced future updates. The game appears to have launched as a self-contained experience and received its final content addition with the January 2017 update.
