Gift Girl

Gift Girl is a small desktop pet application that launched on March 13, 2020. In the weeks following launch, the developer was active: shipping framework improvements, adding new poses and outfits (the last of which arrived as a new clothes update on March 23, 2020), and posting bug fixes through April 23, 2020. An April 9, 2020 post announced a separate upcoming game from the same developer — this was not a commitment to new content for Gift Girl itself. The final recorded communication was a face optimization update on April 23, 2020. There have been no developer posts, patches, or content announcements of any kind since April 23, 2020. The game shipped with one DLC (released on launch day, March 13, 2020), and no unreleased DLC exists in the store listing. Given the short, contained post-launch support window, the absence of any ongoing content commitments, and over six years of silence, the game is best understood as a finished product that completed its post-launch update cycle in April 2020.
