Evaluation

Gigantes Ex Machina launched into Early Access on August 5, 2025 and remains in active Early Access development by AcrylByte. The studio has maintained a high-frequency update cadence since launch, with notable patches and content drops in September 2025, February, March, June, and July 2026. The May 8, 2026 developer progress post outlined a range of planned content still to come: a Hangar Part equipment system overhaul, new skills, new Gigas units, and new story content. Several features from that post have since been delivered — the Protocol System arrived on June 9, 2026, the Memory Chip upgrade system on July 7, 2026, and new weapons and control improvements on July 12, 2026 — confirming the developer is actively executing on stated plans. The July 7, 2026 patch post explicitly stated that the studio is adjusting its schedule to prioritize adding a new Infinite Mode, and that other new content and improvements remain in development. The July 15, 2026 engine migration post — the most recent communication — describes the work as "preparing the foundation for future updates" and references potential further optimization work ahead. No 1.0 release date has been announced. The original Early Access launch post described plans to expand the game with new Gigas units, difficulty levels, story scenarios, maps, and system features before a full release. The developer continues to actively deliver on these commitments.
