Girls Overboard

Girls Overboard launched on June 2, 2022 as a free-to-play puzzle dating sim. After launch, AGL Studios delivered a series of free title updates, adding new characters and content: Title Update 1 (July 28, 2022) added a new character Talia, Title Updates 3 and 4 (September and October 2022) added Ashera and a Halloween event respectively, and Title Update 5 (November 26, 2022) added Eleanna and a new gameplay mode. Both available DLC items (the Digital Artbook and the 18+ patch) were released at or near launch in June 2022. On January 19, 2023, the developer announced the game was going free-to-play and solicited community input on what future content players would like — framing it as "the next chapter of Girls Overboard." However, this was followed only by a balance/QoL patch on January 31, 2023 (the last developer communication), which noted the team was wrapping up progression balance work in order to "focus back on content." No new content or specific announcements followed that post. The developer's last confirmed communication was on January 31, 2023. Since then — over two and a half years as of June 2026 — there have been no further updates, announcements, or developer posts for Girls Overboard. The developer's attention appears to have shifted fully to their other title, Best Elf, which launched in November 2023. The sustained post-launch content cadence (roughly one major update every 1–2 months from July through November 2022) has been completely absent since early 2023, and the window for additional content from this studio has long since passed. No unreleased DLC exists on the store. The game appears to have concluded its update cycle with the January 2023 balance patch.
