Global City

Global City is a free-to-play, massively multiplayer city-building simulator designed around an indefinitely ongoing content calendar. The game launched on November 30, 2021 and has maintained an unbroken rhythm of new content ever since, with at least 23 major content drops documented across the game's history. The content cycle runs on a roughly 4-week rotation. Recent major updates include: a new Marina Resort harbor project (January 23, 2026), a Winter Sports Capital / Ice Arena Battle Pass (February 20 – March 20, 2026), a new railway district expansion (March 20 – April 16, 2026), a River Port construction event (April 17 – May 14, 2026), Global Vegas entertainment district (May 15 – June 11, 2026), a Steampunk Subway Station with Battle Pass III (June 12 – July 9, 2026), a Data Center Battle Pass (through August 7, 2026), and the currently active "New Shores" island expansion event, which launched August 7 and runs through September 3, 2026. The Subway Battle Pass was also released as a purchasable DLC on July 23, 2026, further confirming the monetized seasonal content cycle. Feature updates have also expanded core gameplay systems — most notably a March 2026 patch that added a new Northvale region with its own production facilities, resource deposits, mining mechanics, and trade infrastructure, with the developer explicitly noting "this is just the beginning" for that region's development. This is a game designed to run indefinitely, with no indication from the developer of any plans to wind down content production.
