Gloomgrave launched out of Early Access on September 25, 2023. At that point, the developer stated they still had "a lot of ideas for content" they wanted to add, signaling intent for future updates. Two quick content releases followed shortly after: Update #5 on September 29, 2023 (adding new perks and a reworked stats page), and a small bug fix patch on September 30, 2023. However, no further updates or developer communications have appeared since September 30, 2023. The developer's last post of any kind was on September 30, 2023 — over two and a half years ago as of today (June 14, 2026). Looking at the full update history, the game received major content drops roughly every 1–3 months during its active development phase (July 2022 through September 2023). Given that pattern, silence stretching from September 2023 to June 2026 — well beyond any reasonable continuation of that cadence — indicates development has effectively concluded. The developer's stated intent to add more content at launch was not followed through with any subsequent releases. The game appears to have shipped as a complete package, with the final content arriving in the September 29–30, 2023 update wave.
